We are seeking a dedicated Utility Operator to join our team on the first shift, Monday through Friday. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations, including materials handling, order picking, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience and a solid background in warehouse environments, with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced distribution setting, supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials
• Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and stacking
• Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments and verifying incoming inventory
• Use crane and construction equipment as needed for material movement
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to OSHA standards
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance
• Perform routine mechanical inspections of equipment and report any issues promptly
• Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and cycle counts

Requirements

• Prior forklift experience is mandatory; certification is preferred
• Experience with warehouse distribution, order picking, and heavy equipment operation
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse work
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanners
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Experience with shipping & receiving processes, materials handling, and construction-related tasks is a plus
• Strong attention to safety protocols and attention to detail in all duties
• Previous warehouse supervisor or management experience is advantageous but not required
